"Julio" Facebook Page Breaks 100 Fan Mark, Supports Motion Picture Tax IncentiveJune 15, 2009 — Hot Lather Productions is excited to report that their "Julio" fan page on Facebook has broken the 100 fan mark. "Facebook is a great place to see the latest news, photos and video clips from the set of 'Julio,'" Says producer Tom Loveman. "We've completed three days of principal photography and will be posting some teasers, interviews and more behind the scenes videos soon." "Actually we're over 120 now," says co-producer and director Trish Sgro, "and we can't thank our growing fan-base enough. The enthusiasm for our show has been exciting and inspiring." Sgro and Loveman, both local business people collaborated to create the show and write the pilot, with the shared goal of building a creative development and production company in Cleveland. Their objective is produce TV shows and films as part of the growing commercial film industry in Ohio, hopefully supported by the pending State Motion PIcture Tax Incentive working its way through the Ohio legislature as part of the budget process. "The tax incentive is a win-win-win" say Sgro, "since it creates jobs in the film industry and encourages companies to set up shop here and grow, it keeps local filmmakers here instead of become part of the brain drain leaving the state. It also helps exisiting business by creating new opportunities." Hot Lather Productions has been actively campaigning and networking to help support the Tax Incentive.
